Right-click the SyGate icon in your system tray.

Click Applications on the menu

Right-click BearFlix in
the list of applications

Click Allow on the menu

SyGate will now allow BearFlix full incoming and outgoing activity. Whenever you upgrade BearFlix, an alert will pop up as shown in the following screenshot:

Simply click Yes to resume normal operation of BearFlix.

Test your settings

In BearFlix, go to the Hosts view, right-click on the screen, and choose Redetect Firewall Status from the menu that appears.

• If you do not see the Hosts view, make it visible by going to View > Enable Views, and click Hosts in the list.

Give BearFlix a minute or so to check, then look at the 4th LED (on the right). If it is green, then you are good to go. If it is yellow, you are still firewalled. Double-check your settings and try again.

Attention SyGate PRO users!

This applies only to SyGate Pro

In Options > Security, be sure to have stealth mode browsing disabled. If you enable it, packet headers will be stripped, and BearFlix will think the packets come from an invalid client, which will severely affect performance.
